New Homes Experience
In the past we have advised many major developers and Private Client Investors on residential schemes in the this area, notably: Land Securities, St. George plc, Christies the Auctioneers, Securicor, Rank Zerox, St.James’s Securities, Britannia Asset Management, City of London, United House, and Lord Palumbo, Galliard Homes PLC, to name but a few.
Prior to setting up Hamilton Brooks Glen A Cook worked for 8 years with Goddard & Smith a 100 year old surveying practice in St. James’s SW1, we dealt with many new schemes and conversions, 25 Jermyn Street SW1 (25 units) 27 Holland Park W8 (8 units) Blade Mews SW15 (19 units) Aldersgate Court EC1 (20 units) Ecclestone Square SW1 (10 units) Sumner Place (6 units) Sussex Mansions SW7 (150 units, rental). From 1987 to 1994 I was valuation surveyor for the City of London advising on ‘Right to Buy’ valuations, specifically on the Barbican Estate.
St.George plc selected Hamilton Brooks to sell London House, Aldersgate Street, London EC1- an exclusive development of 89 apartments - in December 2000/2001. Over 70% of the apartments were sold off plan from the first floor of our offices at 73 Long Lane, EC1. We were able to support the sale prices by personally providing comparable evidence to UK and overseas buyers and were able to give accurate advice on future rental values and guidance on furnishing/interior design. We were instrumental in providing sales and rentals valuations (with comparables) to property valuers and surveyors, thus enabling the sales to proceed smoothly to completion.
Hamilton Brooks have been instructed by United House the act as Selling Agents for an exciting residential scheme in the heart of the Barbican complex, 69 studio, 1, 2 & three bedroom units, for sale off plan with completion is October 2009.
